Sometimes, a little bit of perspective can be breathtaking. At night the International Space Station can see brilliant auroras, the curve of the earth, networks of city lights spreading out like veins—and sometimes all three at once. Why? This is awesome and recycles a bunch of stuff that would otherwise be sitting on a bunch of other stuff that pollutes our planet.
Turning the brightness down doesn’t alleviate that, does it?
Recently, researchers have found evidence that suggests the colour temperature of one’s monitor can effect on your circadian rhythms, headaches, etc.
Obviously, it’s not a cureall, but it goes a long way to help. I’ve been using it for years, and it helps avoid headaches and other annoyances.

It’s even possible that you’re staying up too late because of your computer. You could use f.lux because it makes you sleep better, or you could just use it just because it makes your computer look better.

I downloaded this earlier and when I was setting it up, I was like “WHOAH the nighttime lighting is SO orange/yellow and horrible and distracting,” but then I waited until the nighttime and it’s actually awesome. I switched back to the regular lighting for a second, just for comparison, and it was like a giant blue flashlight being shined right into my eyeballs. How did I live with that?!
